TL Cafe Tonight: The Connected Concierge

Bookmark and Share

I went off the grid last week during Spring Break, and what better way to return than with the TL Cafe session for April!  Tonight’s topic is The Connected Concierge in Your School and Classroom, hosted by Tiffany Whitehead (aka The Mighty Little Librarian) and Nick Provenzano (aka The Nerdy Teacher) at 8:00 pm EST.

Last time I tried to participate, I had technical difficulties with my computer.  I’m crossing my fingers that I won’t have any problems accessing Blackboard tonight.  See you there!

Updated 9:45 pm:  No technical difficulties tonight!  If you missed the chat, catch the archive here!

I’m tuning in at 8:00 EST tonight to the Teacher Librarian Cafe discussion titled Your Common Core Secret Weapon.  (Don’t you love this graphic?!)  This month’s presenters are three middle school librarians from Anderson, South Carolina who are taking the initiative to let their administrators know how librarians can help with Common Core implementation:

I hope to see you there!

TL Cafe – Back to School Special

I’ll be tuning in next Monday, Sept 10, at 8:00 for the next Teacher Librarian Cafe session.  This Back to School Special will focus on ways librarians can start the new school year on a positive note.

Gwyneth Jones, Tiffany Whitehead, and Jennifer LaGarde will be sharing tips on how to build school allies, support new teachers, and become indispensable to administrators and staff.  And if this presentation is anything like the others I’ve attended, there will be lots of great ideas shared by the participating audience as well, so I’ll need to have an idea or two up my sleeve to contribute to the discussion.  See you there!

Tonight at the TL Cafe, hear South Carolina’s own Tamara Cox, along with Tiffany Whitehead of Louisiana, present Professional Development With a Twist.

These Cafe sessions are always packed with great information, and everyone is made to feel welcome.  The chatroom interface is very easy to use, and a step-by-step tutorial is provided, so don’t be intimidated if you’ve never participated before.

The attendees share their great ideas right along with the presenters (optional) so be prepared to tell us about your own methods and resources!
